He has a job to do.

When Kerit follows his brother half way across the galaxy to help terraform an inhospitable planet, he expects to be uncomfortable. He expects searing heat. He expects acid rain. He even expects the sunburn from hell. What he doesn’t expect is to meet Folly—the most prickly, irritating, and fascinating girl he’s ever known.

She's determined to find out what happened to her father.

Folly most certainly doesn't expect to find someone she's never met on the planet she's been trapped on her whole life. Nor is she interested in the rescue he's offering her people. What she wants is to find her father's ship and prove he was a brilliant scientist. The cute stranger is just a distraction. Unless of course he can help her in her search…

As Kerit and Folly search the ruined city, they realise someone—or something—is hunting them. Can they survive long enough to find out if their attraction is more than just surface deep?

What Readers are Saying

The third book of the series definitely didn't disappoint…the fact I stayed up to 3am to finish it attests to that!

What Readers are Saying

I thoroughly enjoyed the action and intrigue, and can’t wait for book four. I have no hesitation in recommending this series highly.

What Readers are Saying

I really enjoyed the fast paced nature of it, with most of the action happening in the space of a day or so. I instantly loved the quirky character of Folly, she's prickly around the edges but quite a relatable character-at least to me.

What Readers are Saying

Interesting series. I was unsure if I'd like this one since it switches to the brother's story, but it stayed true to the main plot and continued the original story. I'll definitely buy book four when it's available.

What Readers are Saying

I was curious to see professional surfer Kerit transition to space traveler and life on a desolate planet. How was Rinelle Grey going to turn this likable surfer-dude who constantly cleans out his brother's refrigerator into a space opera hero? She does so by stripping him down to someone who questions his role, his worth and his intelligence and building him back up. As the book goes on, Kerit gains confidence and has one really brave, really reckless moment that is the pinnacle of his emergence as a hero.

Regulated Planet is the second book in the Worlds Apart series. This series is currently complete. Each book can stand alone, but the series is best read in the following order:
