Police constable Hailey finds a boy who's fallen down a canyon while looking for a dragon. Patrima shows up and helps her pull him out.

Christmas Eve

Jayrian Speaks to the Elders

Jayrian tells the Elders there will be mining at the Dragon Scales, and again urges them to endorse his plan to ask Gretchen to wake Prince Taurian. They refuse.

Patrima fights Ultrima and is injured

When Patrima discovers Ultrima has let the dragon children have a Christmas tree, he's enraged, and challenges the Trima leader. He is soundly beaten in a fight, and thrown out of the clan.

Gretchen Invites Jayrian to Christmas

When Jayrian arrives at the library and seems distressed, Gretchen takes the chance to invite him to Christmas dinner at her parents place.

Christmas Dinner Argument at Gretchen's

Gretchen and Jayrian have Christmas Eve dinner at her parents', but Gretchen has an argument with her Aunt Mary, and all her family abandons dinner and leaves.

Interrupted by a Dragon

On the way home from the ruined Christmas dinner, Gretchen and Jayrian are stopped by a Trima dragon, with a message for the elders.

Patrima Interrupts the Christmas Celebrations

Angry after being thrown out of his clan, Patrima insults the humans celebrating Christmas in Mungaloo. Senior Constable Hailey Lyons goes to deal with him, and brings him back to the station.

Hailey finds out Patrima is Injured

Hailey finds out a little about Patrima's past, and that he's injured. When she pushes him, he admits that he's a dragon, and she's shocked.

Healing Jayrian

Jayrian is injured after his fight with the Trima Dragon, and Gretchen agrees to perform the Mesmer Ritual to heal him. 

25th of December
Christmas Day

Hailey Takes Patrima Home

When Hailey's shift finishes, she takes Patrima home and they perform the Mesmer ritual together.

Bringing Christmas to the Dragons

Gretchen and Jayrian pack up her family's ruined Christmas dinner, and take it out to the dragons. Rian clan is not accepting, but eventually agree to let Gretchen wake Prince Taurian.

Patrima Returns home and Apologises

Hailey encourages Patrima to apologise to Ultrima, and goes with him. In the end, it's Hailey's recounting of Patrima's story that convinces Ultrima to relent, and let Patrima return to the clan.

Gretchen Reconsiders

Gretchen is glad the clan has accepted her, but realises that she loves Jayrian. She says she will find someone else to wake Prince Taurian, and the elders agree.
